Cotton webbingCotton is a material that offers many benefits for a wide range of different applications. Even though it may not be recognized as such, cotton webbing is used all around us, from fashion to commercial applications. What makes cotton webbing special?

Cotton webbing has reliable heat resistance when compared to other webbing materials. When the materials are below 110 °C, moisture evaporates from the webbing without damaging fibers. The dying, washing, and printing process does not damage cotton webbing. Many manufacturers use cotton as a material because it provides strong resistance to damage.

Cotton webbing also is easily able to resist alkalis. When introduced to an alkali solution, webbing is not damaged. As a result, cotton webbing does not wear down while disinfecting and washing stains.

Lastly, cotton is a great option when hygroscopicity is needed. The material absorbs moisture in the surrounding environment with a moisture content of up to 10%. When the material touches human skin, it feels soft, making it an excellent option for clothing and sporting gear. When the humidity of cotton webbing increases (while the ambient temperature is high), the moisture within the webbing evaporates. This material maintains an outstanding water balance that keeps people comfortable.
