Why Do People Use Shock Cords

Bungee shock cords, more commonly referred to as shock cords, are considered rubber cords that are constructed with one or more elastic strands that are wrapped around a core. The strands are covered with a jacket made from abrasive-resistant materials (nylon, polypropylene, and polyester). In many cases, elastic shock cords are used to add security for luggage and personal safety (without the need of a knot). National Webbing proudly offers our customers two distinct types of bungee shock cords: black polypropylene covered cord and a black and white polyester cord. We do provide other solid colors and color combinations and different thicknesses. Typically, our polypropylene cables come in sizes from 3/32” to 1/2,” but out polyester variants range between 1/8” and 1/2." You can also trust in our nylon webbing and polypropylene webbing.Shock Cord

Shock cords offer many advantages that make them capable of completing many different jobs. They are used for tying down loads. When used correctly, users will experience minimal load movement during transit.
