The Differences Between Types of Cargo Webbing

Although similar, nylon and polyester lifting straps are different enough not to be used interchangeably. The difference in performance characteristics can be enough to cause an accident while using webbing. If you value safety above all else, you will take some time to learn about which type of cargo webbing is best for you and your application. The material you decide to use should be mostly dependent on the job at hand.

Nylon Webbing

Synthetic core webbing has many advantages that include:

Nylon webbing has more stretch than polyester. Although there is more stretch, the material is just as durable as polyester. If height requirements are an issue for you, polyester webbing might be a better option. Nylon should not be used around bleaches and acids, and polyester does not resist alkalis or ethers.

Synthetic webbing is an excellent choice because of their ability to handle delicate loads at lower costs. For more information, you should not hesitate to give us a call.
