Common Uses for Cord Locks

Small, plastic cord locks, also known as toggles, cord fasteners, or plastic stoppers, were originally developed to allow mountaineers to quickly and easily fasten clothing and camping equipment while wearing heavy gloves. Cord locks easily attach to any kind of string, cable, or cord, and tighten securely without the use of any knots. Cord locks have three parts: a barrel, a toggle or plunger, and a spring. When the toggle is squeezed, tension is released and the cords can move freely within the lock. When the toggle is released, tension is engaged and the cords are held firmly in place within the lock. By simply releasing the tension, slipping the cord ends through the transverse hole, and then reapplying the tension, your cords will be secure and immobile in a manner of seconds. The simplicity and reliability of plastic cord locks make them highly versatile pieces of top-notch engineering.
